Where are the classes located
The karate classes are located at the central methodist hall in the Coventry city center. In terms of parking, there is some on-street parking on Warwick lane and the barracks parking structure is just a 2-minute walk.
Do students need previous martial arts knowledge?
We are experts at teaching absolute beginners with zero experience. So no previous knowledge is necessary to join our classes.
What will my child learn at their first class.
At the first introductory class, the child will first learn the procedures of the class such as the martial art attention stance and bow. They will be taught some of the fundamental karate strikes and blocks as well as the most important self-defense techniques. The techniques they learn in the very first session will stay with them throughout their martial art journey.
What is the first class like?
The first class a future student takes part in is one of our free trial/ introductory classes. The purpose of this class is to see if the child is ready for the classes and also if they enjoy the class. another reason for this class is for the parent to see if our classes are a right fit for their child.
